東北大学 オープンキャンパス2024の一環で，青葉山キャンパスで開催された工学部のオープンキャンパスで，研究室から研究デモンストレーションを4件を持って行き説明しました．工学部には2日間で約10,000人の来場があったそうです．

南オーストラリア大学 Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments の James Walsh 先生が来られ，研究室を見学して意見交換していただくとともに，講演をしていただきました．

Tohoku University STEM Summer Program 2024 で米国ワシントン大学やペンシルバニア州立大等の29名の学生さんが研究室に来られました．北村教授の講義の後，学生が研究内容をデモを見せて説明し，その後皆で意見交換しました．

英国・UCL (University College London) のMarianna Obrist 教授が来られ，講演をしていただきました．

東北大学とUniversity College London （ユニバーシティ・カレッジ・ロンドン（英国））のマッチングファンド で実施中の共同研究 A Cross-Cultural Dialogue on the Potential of the Sense of Smell for Health and Wellbeing （健康とウェルビーイングのための嗅覚の可能性に関する異文化間対話）の一環で滞在されました．

論文がIEEE（米国電子情報学会）の科学誌IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphicsのオンライン速報版に掲載されました．バーチャルリアリティ分野のトップコンファレンスである 2024 IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces（IEEE VR 2024，3月18日～21日，米国・フロリダ州オーランド）で口頭発表されます．

また，東北大学研究成果ウェブサイトにも掲載されています．

2024年2月29日

学部4年生の卒業論文発表会が開催され，池田徹志さん，王宇卉さん，田仲真啓さんが発表しました．

2024年2月28日

論文が ACM Transactions on Graphics 誌に掲載されました．

内容は今年7月28日～8月1日に米国Denverで開催されるSIGGRAPH 2024 で口頭発表する予定です．
